I just wanted to take a moment to say “THANK YOU, FOX COUNTRY!” With your help, the Jonesboro Radio Group and KAIT collected hundreds of pounds of food items for our annual Fill The Food Bank food drive. Because of your kind donations, the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas and its associated agencies will be able to provide meals for many families in need right here in NEA. The need is especially strong during the Holidays, but–in reality–the need to keep the Food Bank as full as possible goes on, day in and day out, every day of the year!

So, please give what you can whenever you can to the Food Bank of NEA…you’ll be helping your neighbors, and you’ll just feel great for having done so! And thanks again from all of us at the Jonesboro Radio Group, KAIT, and the Food Bank of NEA!–Skeeter

I hope you take the time to thank a veteran over the weekend! My late Dad served stateside in the Army Air Corps (predecessor to the US Air Force) during World War II, and my three oldest brothers each did a tour of Army duty in Vietnam. By the grace of God and my Mom’s prayers, all 3 made it back safe and mostly sound. I say “mostly” because everybody who served in that war was left at least somewhat emotionally scarred. My oldest brother, Roger Jr. (or “Bud” as the family calls him) got out of the Army, worked in the private sector for a few years, then joined the California Army National Guard, and was the Public Information Officer for the Guard during the LA riots in the early-90’s after the Rodney King verdict was announced. Bud rose to the rank of Colonel, and has been retired from the Guard for about 20 years or so now. I’m proud of the vets in my family, and I thank them and all who serve for having done so.
