Wyoming Governor Freudenthal signed legislation adopting an official Wyoming state code.  The principles of “cowboy ethics” are now part of Wyoming law, as of Wednesday, March 3, 2010.  It’s a symbolic measure, spelling out ten ethics derived from a “Code of the West,” outlined in a book by author and retired Wall Street investor James Owen.  The ethics code doesn’t carry any criminal penalties, and it’s not meant to replace any civil codes.  But…it’s still a pretty good set of “guidelines” in our crazy, modern world, don’t you think?
